Upper Minors is the 2nd highest division in Little League and it is the division where kids begin to pitch. Upper Minors is a competitive baseball division with modified Little League rules (stolen base limits, inning scoring limits, etc.). At the beginning of the season the coach will pitch to children. After about 3 to 4 weeks as players progress they will begin pitching, after a set number of pitches the coach will step in finish pitching to the batter and then the pitcher will start with the next batter. Score is kept during games. This division is designed to prepare players for the Majors division.
